About Waveney Enterprises

Waveney Enterprises Craft Workshop is a charity that helps people with learning disabilities in Suffolk and Norfolk to improve their crafting skills, self-esteem and independence.

The charity works from a grade II listed building in Beccles town centre. Waveney Enterprises was founded in 1985 and has a friendly and inclusive atmosphere for its students. 

What does Waveney Enterprises Craft Workshop provide? 

Waveney Enterprises Craft Workshop has various learning and crafting options for its students, such as: 

• The Workshop: A bright space where our students make lovely homemade items like cushions, bags, cards and more. This activity supports Students with motor skills and increases their confidence. 
• The Art Room: A functional space where the students weave unique items such as rugs and seasonal wool animals in addition to collages and felting.
• The Print Room: Fabric, wallpaper and bag printing to unique designs made by the students.
• Walled Garden: The garden area with a sunroom where the students can play games, exercise and learn how to grow plants and vegetables.  The garden is also featured in the upcoming Beccles Open Garden day. The sunroom and garden also offer a calming and soothing space for the students where they can also eat lunch in the summer months.
• Waveney Enterprises Craft Shop: This area displays and sells the products co-produced and created with students and brings in needed income for the charity
• Other Activities: The charity also runs other activities for its Students, such as music sessions, chair yoga and more. These activities aim to improve the Students' life skills, health and social interaction.
